Our Trainers

  • Christen Kirsammer

Christen owns and operates CK Equestrian, a small training and breeding operation out of Walnut Hills Farm in Dryden MI.

Before moving back to Michigan to start CK Equestrian, Christen rode professionally for over five years for a top eventing barn on the East Coast focusing on starting, training, and competing young horses for eventing, fox hunting, jumpers, and dressage.

She has experience through preliminary eventing and 1.15 show jumping on multiple horses and has had the privilege of spending that time under incredible mentorship including Bruce Davidson Sr., Boyd Martin and The O’Connors.

Other past experiences including grooming for Boyd Martin and Windura USA and Courtney Cooper at C Square Farm.

She has a passion for helping riders create a partnership with their horses, developing a love for training and horsemanship, as well as competing.

  • Kenzie Judkins

Kenzie has been riding for the last 13 years, specializing in Eventing and continues to learn by taking her own lessons multiple times weekly. She is excellent at introducing new riders to the sport and brings knowledge and fun to the learning experience.

Whether you are interested in learning to ride on one of her amazing lesson horses or are wanting extra instruction on your own horse, Kenzie is a wonderful asset.

This is her passion and she loves the opportunity to build life long equine relationships with fellow horse lovers who share the same passion and drive, and as a result her group is very team and family oriented.

  • Emma Verkerke

Emma is a seasoned equestrian with a passion for horses for over 15 years. Her background primarily lies in the hunter/jumper discipline, although her focus has shifted towards eventing in recent years.

In addition to her riding, Emma has also honed her teaching skills over the past few years. She finds joy in witnessing her students progress and grow.

As a rider and instructor, Emma embodies a deep love and respect for horses and continues to learn more everyday.
